Surviving the world requires venturing across diverse surface environments and digging deep beneath the earth.
Surface biomes: Forests, deserts, and floating islands
Each procedurally generated map features distinct surface zones. Starting in lush forests offers easy wood harvesting for basic craft stations. Heading into deserts, dense jungles, or sky-high floating islands uncovers rare chest loot, unique crafting materials, and scaling biome hazards.
Underworld depths: Ore veins and hellish caverns
Digging vertically reveals stratified cave systems filled with copper, iron, and gold deposits. Reaching the deepest underworld layers unlocks late-game ores necessary for high-tier armor sets. However, dangerous lava lakes and aggressive subterranean mobs guard these valuable mineral veins.
Building housing for merchants, guides, and mages
Progression relies heavily on recruiting useful NPCs to your settlement.
- Construct suitable rooms: Build enclosed structures with walls, doors, lighting, a table, and a chair. Meeting these requirements attracts friendly town members.
